Cloud Motel – Heatwaves & Halos

We’re proud to welcome Nikos, Eleni and Luc, a cross-border trio hailing from Greece and Belgium, to the I/O Music family.

Cloud Motel is led by longtime Greek collaborators Nikos and Eleni, together with Belgian sound artist Luc, the trio came together after decades spent scoring obscure arthouse films, archiving forgotten ambient works, and working in creative solitude. Reuniting in the stillness of the 2020s, they formed Cloud Motel a project devoted to stillness, memory, and tonal light.

Their debut album, Heatwaves & Halos, is out now and offering a warm, immersive blend of chill and lounge like sunlight filtering through a sheer curtain. Shimmering, minimal, and deeply atmospheric, each track feels like a postcard from a distant inner city where time stands still.
