Laila is a hypnotic folk artist from Pontardawe, South Wales, known for her evocative songwriting and haunting melodies. Blending folk influences with ambient soundscapes, she creates music that invites deep emotional connections.

Inspired by nature, Laila often finds lyrical ideas during long walks by the sea, where the rhythm of the waves sparks creativity. A keen observer of people, she draws inspiration from the intricate stories and emotions of those around her.

Laila has performed at notable venues and events, including the Youth Music Awards at Brangwyn Hall, Swansea Pride, Pontardawe Arts Centre, Elysium, and various local festivals. She has supported artists such as Adwaith, Sarah McQuaid, Desert Life, Dark and Twisties, Rona Mac, The Climbing Trees, and most recently, The Shires in front of 500 people at Pembrey Park.

A member of the Future Blood youth music project for three years, Laila has also composed music for an animated film and recorded vocals for a Dicky Continental album released by Universal Music. Most recently, she recorded her debut EP, produced by Rich Thair (Red Snapper, Dicky Continental, Number).
